Ashley Eyink
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
AFAA Personal Training Certification
USAW Certification in Olympic Weightlifting
CrossFit Mobility Certification

On average, most natural athletes do not become great trainers. Though they rarely have difficulty picking up any movement or exercise, they typically have difficulty teaching the same fitness philosophies they practice to others. When a natural athlete has an inert desire to help others reach the same heights of fitness they have achieved, it makes for an impenetrable union between client and trainer. Loyal, dedicated and enthusiastic, Ashley has the ability to teach the fitness principles she has learned in an enthusiastic way that will keep you both motivated and to reach your fitness goals.

Ashley does not claim the ability to teach people the need for fitness. If you do not already know the importance, you may not be the ideal client. However, Ashley is more than willing to teach the mass benefits CrossFit has to offer. She will teach you why a five minute workout could be the best workout you have ever had in your entire life, and why the hours of monotonous walking on a treadmill everyday are much less effective than 15 minutes with her. Ashley will teach you what you are capable of, no matter your previous level of success.

Ashley is married, has a daughter (a future Games participant). She holds a Bachelor of Marketing from Wright State University, has practiced CrossFitting since September 2008 and has been a certified Level 1 trainer since April 2009. She received her personal training certification through AFAA in August 2010. Ashley has a USAW certification in Olympic weightlifting as of April 2012 and continues to update her mobility and CrossFit skills along the way.

Matt Shindeldecker
Owner/CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
USASF Certification

Matt Shindeldecker has been through a life changing transformation due in great part by CrossFit. As someone in his mid-thirties with a full schedule, an active family of 6, a job that often takes him away from home and a small business he thought he had all the excuses in the world to remain out of shape and unfit. After just a short time participating in the "Sport of Fitness" that is CrossFit he quickly realized that regardless of age, level of physical fitness, height, weight or coordination anyone can obtain their goals if they want to put forth the effort in making that goal happen. He is now driven by results, both his personal goals and the goals of others that walk through the door at CrossFit Crave. He loves to see the smile of one of our new athletes when they learn their first kipping pull-up as much as he enjoys the loud grunt of one of the experienced athletes as they PR on a heavy snatch.

Matt has been CrossFitting since March, 2011 and received his Level 1 CrossFit Certification in April 2012. He has been Certified in speed, flexibility, and compression band therapy by Coach Dick Hartzel founder of "JumpStrech". Matt coaches Football for Celina High School in which he also coordinates their off season strength and conditioning program. He and his wife Jen own and operate Celina Gym and Cheer where he holds a USASF Certification and coaches tumbling, partner stunting and competitive cheerleading.

Trent Kline
Owner/CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Growing up on a farm not far from Rockford, Trent was always exposed to functional fitness. As a kid, he played numerous sports, but by the time high school came around the only sport that Trent stuck with was Golf. Trent battled weight problems all of his life, spending a few months going to the gym with a friend before apathy would set in again. It wasn’t until he hired an employee to work under him (while living in South Carolina) that he found his passion for CrossFit. This employee had been doing CrossFit for a couple years and after just a few months, talked Trent in to giving it a try. Needless to say, he was hooked almost immediately. For the first time in his life, Trent had found a way to be excited about fitness. A drive to improve himself and others has been present since he started CrossFit and is a driving factor in his daily pursuit of being a better athlete and coach at CrossFit Crave. Trent started CrossFitting in March of 2013 and received his level 1 certificate in March of 2014. Trent has a B.A. and M.S. in Sports Management from The Ohio State University. Trent is the Coordinator of Housing and Athletics at Wright State University – Lake Campus.

Tyler Thithoff
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

CrossFit has changed Tyler's life completely. In high school, Tyler ran Cross Country and Track. For him running was the only sport he had any interest in. After about a month of his stepfather, Matt, coming home from this place called CrossFit Crave did Tyler finally decide to try it out. Tyler started in May of 2011. At first he wasn't sure if it was for him. Every time he stepped in the door and seen there was a bar movement, he got disappointed. After two weeks, Tyler was hooked.

Sophomore year Tyler was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. After four years of medications working then wearing off, Tyler his family and GI doctor decided to have surgery. On March 11, 2013 he had his entire large intestine and part of his small intestine removed. After surgery Tyler had an iliostomy bag. This did not stop him from doing CrossFit. Nine months later on December 11, 2013 Tyler had the bag removed. Since then he has had zero pain and is hitting big PR's.

CrossFit for Tyler is about more than just working out. CrossFit is about building a community. Tyler received his Level 1 Cert in March of 2014, and was one of the greatest accomplishments he has made thus far. He loves educating and encouraging people to do their best. Tyler can honestly say that stepping into CrossFit Crave was the best thing he could have done. Without CrossFit, Tyler wouldn't be as strong physically or mentally as he is now, and would not have been able to meet the amazing people that he has at Crave.

Derek Gamertsfelder
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

I grew up always playing sports and being active. I was the kid that was always playing some kind of sport every season of the year. I participated in Football, Wrestling and Track in high school. While at college I played football. After college I remained active and continued to workout at the typical "global gym". After a few years and bored with the same old gym routine I was fortunate to find CrossFit.

I can remember the day learning of CrossFit. It a local 5k run; there was a girl after the race passing out flyers for a grand opening of a new gym in town.

Well as an athlete I was intrigued in something new, so I stood and talked to the girl for about 5 minutes; talking about things like programming, movements, etc. As it turns out that girl was Ashley Eyink, the founder of CrossFit Crave. I held onto that flyer and was really interested in CrossFit. Unfortunately, it took me 10 months after the grand opening to finally decide to give CrossFit a shot.

All I can say is CrossFit has been one of the best things that I have had the opportunity to be a part of. At first, it was very humbling and it took a while for my ego to accept relearning a lot of things that I had learned throughout my athletic experience. Not only has CrossFit made me a physically better but it has made me a better person. After a few months I realized the most important part I was missing, and CrossFit provided, was the community atmosphere.

As an athlete CrossFit has taught me to push beyond the limits that I once had thought were unattainable. This is also held true once I became a trainer. As a trainer I feel as I am there to educate, encourage and motivate the athletes of CrossFit Crave to push further than they thought they could go. The greatest gratitude from training CrossFit has been seeing an athlete have that "light bulb" moment when everything you have been teaching finally clicks and you can see the exuberance on their face.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio Northern University. Derek is currently a mechanical engineer with Crown Equipment Corporation. Derek has been participating in CrossFit since May 2011 and received his CrossFit Level 1 Certification in August 2012.

Dylan Luth
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Like many Crossfitters before him, Dylan's introduction to the sport of fitness was a life changing event. Through his middle and high school years being in shape for a year-round soccer schedule was very much a priority. But like many young adults, transitioning from high school to college to the real world presented its challenges. Finding the ambition to study and work was hard enough let alone make time for fitness goals. Eventually other vices and playing music in dive bars became more of a priority than anything. One big wakeup call and a helluva bad year told him it was time for major change.

Dylan began his Crossfit career in May of 2011 by enrolling in the ramp-up course at Crossfit Crave. It's been all downhill from there. Within a week he knew he was hooked. The community feel kept him coming back and the rest is history. Dylan received his level 1 certificate in August of 2012 and looks forward to diving headfirst into coaching. Dylan also holds a BS in Biological sciences from Wright State University and is a chemist at the Lima Refinery.

Ashley Luth
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Ashley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's as an Intervention Specialist from Wright State University. She also has a license in Educational Administration from Bowling Green State University. She has practiced CrossFitting since September 2011 and became a certified Level 1 trainer in August 2012. Coaching is not something new to Ashley, as she coached softball and volleyball from the junior high to Varsity level for 8 years. The more she fell in love with the sport of CrossFit, the more she was interested in spreading her passion to those around her.

Throughout the years, Ashley had tried every mode of fitness. From running, to strength training, to group classes at the local YMCA. "I thought I was in shape. I worked out every day for an hour and ate a balanced diet. But I never felt strong and always looked more like a bean pole.

Ashley's life was in a bit of a tail spin when a friend introduced her to CrossFit. From the first day she stepped foot in Celina's Crave box, she never looked back. "It gave me an outlet. A place to push all of my worries aside and focus on myself and becoming a better person. I knew it was time to take control and build myself back up." She quickly fell in love with the movements, the programming, and the results. But most of all she fell in love with the people and the community. "I soon realized that the people at our box had so much to teach me. I learned the difference between motivation and inspiration. Staring at long time crossfitters with their six packs and killer bis and tris is what motivated me to get to the box every day and nix processed foods. But then you also have the athletes who start out at over 300 pounds and are now running a mile without stopping. That's inspiration. What more could you ask for.

Barry Peel
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Barry has been with the CrossFit community since 2011. He stumbled into the functional fitness world while training for his first Tough Mudder obstacle course. Using his background in weightlifting, power lifting, and strongman, CrossFit became the perfect way to not only train for obstacle courses, but also for his semi-pro football career with the two time National Champion Lima Warriors. Already being "hooked" after his first CrossFit workout (a modified version of "Nasty Girls"), Barry began to notice changes in his appearance and an explosive increase in his strength and stamina.

"I was shedding body weight, but still packing just as much, if not more, 'punch' on the football field, as well as moving faster and more efficiently. My squat, clean, deadlift, presses, everything began to increase (up to 50 lbs in some cases). Plus it was awesome to begin working on things I always thought looked liked fun such as hand stands, rope climbs, and double-unders. I knew I had found not only a way to train for my activities, but also a complete lifestyle change!"

Barry uses his passion for learning/teaching and helping others in his full time career as a middle school science teacher at Parkway Middle School. He also has over ten years experience coaching for varsity football, middle school baseball, and training athletes of all ages. Barry first earned his Level 1 CrossFit trainer certificate in the spring of 2016 to combine his passions for coaching/teaching and a fitness liftestyle together to help others achieve their goals to lead a healthier life
